THE MONSTER
Tom looked on in amazement as the strange being emerged from the mud. He had never seen anything remotely like this before. Too scared to move, Tom stared anxiously at this huge glistening monster.

He thought, 'Dinosaur, no, it can't be, they're extinct for millions of years'.As he watched, some of the mud began to slide slowly down the side of the enormous beast revealing what looked like a long neck. Tom turned and ran, hoping he was running in the right direction. Gasping for breath, he dashed into the farmyard, checking fearfully over his shoulder.Nothing had followed him.

'Tom, Tom', his father was calling loudly. 'Moore's are doing land reclamation down the river'.'Dddad',Tom stuttered.Before he could say anything else, his father said, 'they're hoping to find that old J.C.B. of Paddy Tynan's that sank in the mud a few years ago'.Tom said nothing.
