AWARDS FOR EMO COURT PROJECT FOR SCHOOLS

AT LAOIS EDUCATION CENTRE

 

140 pupils from 7 classes representing schools in Laois received awards for their projects on Emo Court house and demesne on Thursday last in Laois Education Centre. The display of projects included models of the house and its surroundings, films, artwork, written work, drama and living history. In presenting the prizes, Mr Jim Enright, Director of Laois Education Centre, commended the teachers and their pupils for:

-          their creativity, imagination and hard work since last September when the schools project began.  

-         on the high standard of the projects and was delighted to see schools had taken different approaches to their project. 

-         on their very high standard of presentation of their projects, the pride, passion and belief they had in their work.

 

The 5th & 6th Class of No. 2 National School Portarlington and their teacher Leslie Bennett received the overall award for their very comprehensive project and its professional presentation.  Along with prizes received, each participating school received a framed certificate for their school and each participating student received a certificate of participation.
