Laois/Offaly Heritage Project
Judging criteria
1. The evidence of teamwork and co-operation will be highly valued in the Art & Design (team) projects.
2. The theme of the project should be based on the criteria laid out for the project.
( 1. tales and folklore of their locality
2. Historical remains: hill-forts, monasteries, stone circles, big houses, castles, urban or rural artefacts.
3. Representation of historical events, personages and/or places.
4 . Local geographical or environmental themes)
3. All projects including essays will be displayed in the Laois Education Centre on Thursday January 19th , 4.30pm to 7.00pm .Closing date for essays 12th January 2012 .Essays will have been judged before Exhibition. Art & Design projects will be judged at Exhibition.
4.The Art& Design judging will be done based on this presentation , which could include posters , craftwork , written work , computer work etc)
5. Evidence of work actually done by pupils is essential.
6. Pupils' own description of Art & Design project to judges on exhibition day is very important.
7. A strict numerical marking system will not be used.
