What is the SCG?
The Scrúdú le hAghaidh sa Ghaeilge is an exam, which teachers trained outside the state must undertake. The S.C.G. is necessary in order to achieve full recognition as a primary teacher within the state. Laois Education Centre has been invited by Marino Institute of Education to run this course again (course will commence in early November 2011), subject to a sufficient number of applications received by Coláiste Mhuire, Marino. Application forms and full details are available from and must be returned by 29th October 2011 to SCG Office, Marino Institute of Education, Griffith Avenue, Dublin.
