Creative Writing Workshop 30.9.2021
This is a 3-week Creative Writing Workshop on Thursday 30th september, 7th & 14th October for Primary and Post-primary teachers. Based on the concept that teachers who write make the best teachers of writers, this introductory workshop will provide a creative and enriching space to empower teachers to develop their writing skills. Within a community of teacher-writers, we will identify sources of inspiration, share our ideas and embrace our writer self. All of these skills can be shared in our classrooms with our student writers.
Pauline McNamee is a writer, poet, post-primary English and history teacher and writing workshop facilitator. She holds a first-class honours MA in Writing. She is a recipient of Maynooth University’s John and Pat Hume Doctoral Scholarship. Using narrative and arts-based research methodologies, her doctoral research explores how post-primary teachers’ relationship to writing shapes their teaching of writing. Pauline’s poetry and non-fiction have been published in the US, the UK and Ireland.
