An Overview of the Learning Profile of Children with Down Syndrome at the Primary School Stage 15.1.24
This webinar / seminar will support those working with children with Down syndrome at the primary school stage, in both mainstream and special settings. The specific learning needs or learning profile of the child will be outlined; and the implications for educators will be discussed. The importance of adapting the curriculum and differentiating teaching materials will be highlighted. Approaches to literacy, numeracy and behaviour will be suggested with useful resources and programmes discussed. Opportunities will be provided for Q & A and discussion. The webinar will be facilitated by Fidelma Brady, Head of Education DSI with additional support provided by other colleagues from the Member Support Team DSI.
